Successful completion of remediation works at Omnibus House, London

1 Jul 2022

Lawtech have successfully completed the cladding remediation works at Omnibus House in Haringey, London.

Lawtech have recently successfully completed the cladding remediation works at Omnibus House in Haringey, London. The development is primarily residential with a commercial unit occupied by a gym to the ground floor. We worked closely with Clarion Housing Group and Martin Arnold Ltd throughout to ensure all aspects of the contract were successfully and satisfactorily completed.

The works involved the replacement of combustible cladding systems with non-combustible alternatives, as well as fire compartmentation works. Works included the replacement of the existing HPL cladding with Rockpanel FS-Xtra rainscreen cladding, replacement of soffit boards and any wooden joists or supports. EPS insulation was replaced with Rockwool. Additional works also included the replacement of localised elements of fire-stopping, fire breaks, cavity barriers, and CP board. Clay tiles were removed, safely stored, and reinstated to allow remedial works to take place.

We liaised with the gym throughout to ensure any disruption or inconveniences were kept to a minimum, whilst ensuring the safety of all the staff and gym members. We also worked closely with the neighbouring Mecca Bingo throughout, and procured a licence to allow us to occupy part of their car park whilst the works were underway.

Lawtech was awarded the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme Certificate of Excellence for this project.
