Lawtech have recently been awarded a contract to undertake cladding remediation works to Empress Heights in Southampton.
Lawtech have recently been awarded a contract to undertake cladding remediation works to Empress Heights in Southampton. This mixed-use block reaches eight storeys at its highest point, with commercial units to the ground floor and an underground car park. Due to the scale of this block and the extensive remediation works required, a two-year construction period will be required to undertake these works. We will work closely with Bailey Partnership throughout to ensure the successful completion of this project.
After undertaking an initial Pre-Construction Services Agreement, including intrusive investigations, it was determined that the existing EWI, timber cladding, decking and spandrel panels all had to be replaced with non-combustible alternatives. The existing brickwork and tiles will also require replacement as the materials behind them are combustible.
We will use BIM 360, an Autodesk Construction Cloud product, as we have for our other ongoing projects at Collins Place in Portsmouth, and Empire View & Gantry Court in Southampton.
